Get the perfect Christmas table setting

Christmas, the one time of year we can be a little extravagant without feeling too guilty. The Christmas tree with every light lovingly placed, gifts wrapped up in their own works of art, some of us even demanding a new sofa in time for the 25th of December! So why is it that the Christmas table is usually only given the thought of a table cloth and some napkins adorned with pictures of holly? You don’t have to spend a small fortune to transform your table into the perfect festive setting! Follow our ten step guide for a table that sings with Christmas style!

Volunteers needed for festive NSPCC Collections

The Christmas Corporation will be making a difference to local children in desperate need by raising money for the NSPCC during the festive season.

The company, which hosts shared and exclusive parties, is hoping to raise up to £40,000 for the charity through raffles and collections at Christmas party events in Birmingham and Solihull throughout December.

Money raised will go towards the NSPCC's local services that work towards ending cruelty to children.

The office Christmas party is a longstanding British institution, typically synonymous with the staff reinventing the photocopier as a type of x-rated Polaroid camera and tinsel adorning the ceiling, as staff sing along to Wizard. Since the economic downturn, corporate Christmas parties have been in decline as bosses slash budgets or do not wish to appear insensitive in the light of redundancies. However, whilst this is understandable and to a point admirable, workers have never been more deserving of a Christmas party being stretched every further due to redundancies.

NSPCC - Our Chosen Charity

We will be raising money at our Christmas events to support the work of the NSPCC.
There will be a raffle and other games in aid of the NSPCC. In the meantime try and win a Jaguar car in the NSPCC competition.

What 2 Wear - How to dazzle at your Christmas Party

The Christmas party season is upon us, the one time of the year we all want to look like stars. You have purchased your ticket and can already imagine a cold glass of wine sitting comfortably in your hand as you celebrate with friends, but then a sudden panic sets in “what do I wear?” Not specifically speaking, but ‘what will make me look over dressed or equally as embarrassing, under dressed?’ So to allay these fears we can confirm the dress code we have in place makes it virtually impossible to arrive over dressed.

Competition winners

We ran a competition earlier in 2010 for you to help us choose a theme for 2011.

The competition was sent out by direct mail and e mail.

The response that we had was fantastic and it took the judges a great deal of arguing and deliberation to choose the winners.
